IPOH: Two people died and five were seriously injured after a four-wheel drive vehicle and a car were involved in an accident on KM73 of the Gerik-Pengkalan Hulu road.

The deceased have been identified as car driver Mohd Azli Faizal Mansor, 33, and the front passenger of the pick-up Rozita Khayri, also 33.

“The car driver, who was alone, heading from Ipoh to Gerik lost control of his vehicle, and swerved to the opposite lane, before crashing into the four-wheel drive.“The car driver died on the spot, while the front passenger of the pick-up died at the emergency department of the Gerik hospital, ” he said.
