WALNUT CREEK — Two people were arrested Thursday following the attempted armed robbery of a person’s Rolex watch, police said, the latest in a string of similar robberies in affluent Contra Costa County neighborhoods.
Both men are in their 30s and are from Richmond, police said. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery; two counts of assault with a deadly weapon — one being a gun, the other a vehicle — being a felon in possession of a gun; and conspiracy, authorities said.
