A global rollout may be essential to boosting Blue's popularity. According to a leak source, the paid option reportedly hadin the US as of mid-January. CEO Elon Musk is said to want half of Twitter's revenue to come from subscriptions, and that requires reaching a wide audience. Now, it's less a question of availability and more whether enough users will consider the extra features worth the outlay.
