Training of Turkish F-35 fighter jet pilots and maintenance personnel continuing at US Air Force base in Arizona, Pentagon spokesperson Mike Andrews says

According to reports Lockheed Martin Corp. has a deal worth more than $37 billion to sell a record 440 F-35 fighter jets to a group of 11 nations, including the United States.

"I'm not aware of any delay in training at Luke. I have confirmed that the training is continuing. If that changes, we'll let you know," said Andrews. The two F-35s already delivered to Turkey are currently at Luke Air Force Base, where Turkish pilots are being trained. The jets were scheduled to be transferred to Turkey in November this year.Ankara is planning to purchase 100 F-35 fighter jets from the US.
