Turkish Olympic shooting silver medallist Yusuf Dikec, who became an overnight sensation for his casual style during competition, has applied for a patent to the Turkish Intellectual Property Institute to protect the commercial use of the pose that made him famous at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games/AFPpix with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office came in response to others trying to trademark it without Dikec's say-so.
Dikec's apparent sangfroid inspired a flood of memes online, some comparing him to fictional spy James Bond, while billionaire Tesla founder Elon Musk shared a video of himself striking the stance.
