kualalumpur Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad tiba di Istana Negara bagi menghadap Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
Dr Mahathir yang menaiki kereta Proton Perdana dengan diiringi kenderaan pengiring dilihat memasuki pekarangan Istana Negara melalui pintu utama jam 10.55 pagi.
Ini kerana nama beliau antara disebut untuk terus menyandang kerusi pemimpin nombor satu politik itu. Sebelum itu, seramai 221 Ahli Parlimen mewakili pelbagai parti politik mempersembah nama calon Perdana Menteri untuk dipertimbang Yang di-Pertuan Agong pada semalam dan kelmarin.
