Ex-Democrat TulsiGabbard responded to a recent poll asking voters whether they would vote for Sen maziehirono or 'independent Tulsi Gabbard.' 'She has no plans to run for the US Senate,” Gabbard’s spokeswoman said.
The poll asked participants if they would vote for Sen. Mazie Hirono or"independent Tulsi Gabbard" if the Senate 2024 general election were held immediately. The poll also asked in a hypothetical scenario in which the election was held immediately if they would vote for Gabbard, Hirono, or a Republican candidate, according to Hawaii News Now.

Since then, Gabbard has started her own podcast and criticized her former party.A Hirono spokesperson told the Washington Examiner that the person does not know who sent the survey and that it"did not come from our campaign." Hirono announced earlier in 2023 that she intends to run for reelection in 2024.
Hirono has served as a senator since 2013 after winning the 2012 Senate race. She is among the top 10 senators with the highest approval rating at 60%, with other senators in the top 10 including Sens. Brian Schatz , Bernie Sanders , and Jon Tester , according to Morning Consult.
