Sen. Raffy Tulfo said the school facilities of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Sta. Mesa “are rotten” and vowed that the school’s budget will not be slashed by the Department of Budget Management (DBM).

The senator specifically cited the facilities at the PUP’s Department of Engineering laboratory, which he said, are difficult to operate while some already appear like junk. In the school’s basketball court, Tulfo said the ball might not even bounce because the floor already has a lot of flakes. To make matters worse, some electrical cables are dangling inside the gym which can cause accidents.
