President Biden finally decided to make an effort to find the Mexican border. Someone must have told him that his visit to Phoenix on Dec. 6 did not count as a border visit. He was justifiably confused because when he was first elected to public office in the 1850s, the border was in fact just outside of Phoenix prior to the Gadsden Purchase. It was an honest mistake: come on man, cut him some slack.Re: The Jan. 13 article “School vouchers don’t solve the problem.

I cannot imagine how much of their time and effort was spent on this in-depth look at the problems for the future of this great river and what we, the users, have to look forward to. I believe it is a symptom of the aggrieved politics of today to throw rocks without doing the hard part, thinking. It is also too easy to believe they are crooks, rather than trying to understand why they are agreeing to this or that. There are good public servants and bad ones as well.Here’s an idea. Why don’t the cities where the migrants are bussed to confiscate the buses and fine the owners an amount equal to the cost of replacing one with a new one of the same specifications.
