Donald Trump offered to send Sen. JDVance1 in his place to Iowa's Family Leadership Summit due to a 'scheduling conflict.' Each of the key players in the Republican primary race will be in attendance on Friday — with the exception of Trump.

Former President Donald Trump offered to send Sen. J.D. Vance in his place to a prominent event among Iowa conservatives due to a"scheduling conflict."

The former president is speaking on Saturday evening at the Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. "Our policy has always been to decline surrogates or video presentations for our Summits. The Trump representative accepted and appreciated our rationale," he added. Popular Iowa talk show host Steve Deace doesn't think this will go over well with Iowa Republicans. “I can’t ever recall any candidate sending a surrogate on his behalf to this event, because candidates know the importance of getting in front of the largest audience of activists assembled prior to the Iowa Caucus," he said.
