President Donald Trump again bashed former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson as “dumb as a rock” on Thursday, charging that he was “totally ill prepared and ill equipped” to be America’s top diplomat.
In a statement to the Post, Trump said he “was perfectly prepared for my meetings” with Putin, adding: “We did very well at those meetings.”at Tillerson on Twitter in December 2018, after the former Exxon Mobil chief described him as "pretty undisciplined" to CBS News and told attendees of a Houston fundraiser that the president would sometimes order directives that violated the law.
“His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!”
