Trump to Speak at Davos as His Impeachment Trial Unfolds at Home

Advisers believe the trip will give President Trump an opportunity to show that he’s not letting the impeachment trial stand in the way of his duties

WASHINGTON—On one of the most historic days of his presidency, President Trump will be 4,000 miles from the nation’s capital, huddling with world leaders and business executives in the snow-covered mountains of Switzerland.

Mr. Trump is scheduled to arrive in Davos on Tuesday to take part in the World Economic Forum, the annual gathering of global elites. Back in Washington on the same day, the Senate will commence a trial to determine whether Mr. Trump should be removed from office.
