Hours before he's expected to turn himself at the Fulton County Jail, former President Donald Trump has swapped out his top defense lawyer with an attorney who has represented T.I and Gunna.

Both Trump and Young Thug, who is also being prosecuted by Willis, face charges connected to Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO.We're now getting a better idea of what the former President Donald Trump’s surrender could look like at the Fulton County Jail.The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO, was developed to fight organized crime. It was enacted in 1970 after being signed into law by President Richard Nixon.
Former DeKalb County District Attorney J. Tom Morgan, who was a prosecutor for more than 25 years, says Georgia’s racketeering law differs from federal RICO charges. Willis explained that predicate acts may not be illegal on their own in Georgia, but under the RICO act, they were "in furtherance of the conspiracy" and "furtherance of the criminal enterprise."
