WASHINGTON—President Trump commuted the prison sentence of Rod Blagojevich, a former Illinois governor who once appeared on Mr. Trump’s reality-TV program and who was midway through a 14-year sentence for multiple counts of corruption, a person familiar with the case said Tuesday.
Mr. Blagojevich, 62 years old, was arrested in December 2008 after he was heard on wiretaps allegedly seeking to sell an appointment to the Senate seat Barack Obama vacated upon his election as president.
