Beto O'Rourke has already paid the entire amount — $28,630.50 — owed to El Paso for his February rally, while Trump's campaign still owes the city $470,417.05. The president's invoice was due on April 26.
The March 27 invoice, sent to Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., consisted of fees from six departments: $6,286.57 was owed to El Paso's Police Department, $60,630.84 to the Fire Department, $15,577.52 to Sun Metro, $6,286.57 to the Department of Aviation and $528 to the Health Department.
If the Trump campaign fails to adhere to the mid-June deadline, the 21 percent penalty fee would add nearly $100,000 to the bill. Michael Glassner, chief operating officer for the Trump campaign, suggested El Paso has overcharged his team for the rally and said they are currently"reviewing" the invoice.
