, Pew found that 49% of US adults had listened to a podcast in the past year. That stat increases for younger generations, with 67% of adults aged 18 to 29 having tried out a show in the past year.
51% of the podcasts Pew analyzed release a video version, almost always on YouTube — 97% of podcasts with a video component publish it there. A small share of podcasts use other sites, like Rumble, the video-sharing platform common among right-wing users, which is the next most common site . "If you compare podcasts to cable news for instance, you see something similar, there's shows about everything," Stocking said."A lot of these ones that discuss multiple topics are talk shows. The topic that they're talking about ranges across the course of the show, or they maybe spend an episode on one topic and the next episode on an entirely different topic.
