A 28-year-old truck driver involved in a fatal five-car collision in Gua Musang, Malaysia, has tested positive for methamphetamine. The accident claimed the life of a female student from the Sultan Mizan Campus of the Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) in Besut, Terengganu. The driver, who initially fled the scene but later surrendered to police, has been remanded for four days.

Ketua Polis Daerah Gua Musang, Superintenden Sik Choon Foo berkata, berdasarkan ujian air kencing yang dilakukan terhadap suspek lelaki berusia 28 tahun itu, dia positif Methamphetamine.“Pada hari kejadian kira-kira pukul 6 petang, suspek yang sebelum itu melarikan diri selepas kemalangan datang ke Ibu pejabat Polis Daerah Gua Musang menyerah diri.
“Hasil siasatan mendapati suspek mempunyai rekod lampau berkaitan dadah dan bekerja sebagai pemandu treler selama lapan tahun,” katanya ketika dihubungi hari ini.
