Madison County, Ala., prosecutors said in court today today they will seek the death penalty against LaJeromeny Brown, shown escorted from a preliminary hearing on Jan. 27, 2020, for allegedly firing eight rounds and killing Huntsville police officer Billy Clardy III in a December drug stakeout. Jury selection is expected to begin today in the capital murder trial of a man accusing of shooting and killing a Huntsville police officer in 2019.
