Andre Jackson, who was accused of murdering 11-year-old Josue Flores and was later released has been charged again in the case.Nearly six years after 11-year-old Josue Flores was brutally stabbed to death while walking home from school, Andre Jackson, his accused killer, will stand trial.

Flores was killed on May 17, 2016, as he walked back to his near Northside home from Marshall Middle School.. The 11-year-old boy, who wanted to be a doctor when he grew up, had stayed at school late for an end-of-year science club party, and only had to walk seven blocks from the school to his home in the 1900 block of Fulton Street.

Jackson, 33, was first arrested about two weeks after the stabbing after he was identified as the alleged suspect in surveillance footage from the neighborhood. Charges were dropped in July 2017 after the Harris County district attorney announced that DNA evidence and blood analysis were inconclusive.due to new DNA evidence found with improved testing, according to Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg.
