While Kyle Schwarber filled the role for the team admirably last year, Turner’s skill set offers a far more natural fit, which should give them more flexibility with the rest of the lineup. He’s one of the best stolen-base threats in the game—no one has stolen more bases than Turner since 2016—which fits well on a club that was already top five in baseball in steals last year.
