The ministry maintained that flights to Labuan were included in Putrajaya’s initiative to subsidise airfares for flights to East Malaysia during the festive period.“Labuan MP Suhaili Abdul Rahman’s claim that the transport ministry’s subsidy does not cover Labuan is therefore incorrect,” it said in a statement. On Sunday, Suhaili asked why the island in Borneo had been left out of the subsidised flight ticket deal for the upcoming Kaamatan and Gawai festivals.
