Activision's Transformers : War for Cybertron and its sequel, Fall of Cybertron, are excellent sci-fi shooters that deserve a wider audience. Unfortunately, these games are difficult to play in 2025 due to licensing issues and the lack of modern ports. They were pulled from digital storefronts years ago, and while used copies are available, finding them can be challenging. A PC version can be obtained through online archives, and a tool exists to unlock a 120 FPS framerate.
Despite Hasbro's desire to make these games available again and Activision claiming access to the original code, nothing has materialized. This situation is a shame as there hasn't been a major Transformers game in recent years. The Cybertron titles deserve a second life and should be made available on modern platforms
