Reverend Christopher Lee has been discharged from the hospital, days after he was attacked during mass at the St Joseph’s Church in Bukit Timah.
Kluang deputy OCPD Supt Nik Mohd Azmi Husin said that during questioning, the 40-year-old driver told police this caused him to lose control of the lorry.
“According to the statement he gave, the right front tyre suddenly burst, causing him to lose control and veer to the opposite lane,” he said in a statement.“He has been arrested, and a remand application will be made for further investigation,” he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
