KUANTAN: The traffic volume on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (KLK) and the East Coast Expressway Phase 1 (LPT1) is expected to surge to more than three million vehicles in conjunction with the Aidilfitri holiday, says concessionaire Anih Bhd.
Its senior general manager Radzimah Mohd Radzi said he expects an increase in traffic volume to the east coast from April 19-21, while traffic congestion towards Kuala Lumpur is expected to start from April 24-30 until May 1.
Anih suggests that motorists from Kuala Lumpur and Selangor heading to Pahang on April 19-21 travel between 10am and 2pm, or from 8pm to 11 pm, while those headed for Terengganu depart from 6am to 10am, or 8pm to 11pm. Motorists from Kelantan are advised to enter the Bentong Toll Plaza from 3pm to 5pm, or 10pm to midnight.
