Atlanta has now won three in a row and is 3-2 for the season
The stars of tonight's game were once again the backcourt. Trae Young and Dejounte Murray were fantastic against the Wizards and now the Hawks are above .500 for the first time all season.
It was a hot start for the duo of Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma. They combined for 19 points in the first quarter and shot a combined 8-13. For the Hawks, Young led the way with eight points in the quarter, Bogdan Bogdanovic had seven, and Murray had five. Atlanta had a rough three-point shooting quarter to start, only hitting two of their first 11 from downtown.The Hawks outscored the Wizards by 13 in the quarter, but it was not until the final four minutes that they started to pull away.
