The Traditional Rulers Forum, TRF, in Anioma, Delta State, has given support to the senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko, for the creation of Anioma State.
The royal fathers made their position known in a five-point communiqué issued at the end of the interactive session with the senator at Obior, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. The Anioma royal fathers, in the communique signed by the secretary and Obi of Atuma Iga, Obi Daniel Chukwuka Ogbudo, affirmed their renewed sense of unity and purpose and reassured the people of their collective resolve to support the quest for the creation of Anioma State .
'We want to urge the federal lawmaker to widen the scope of interaction and consultation, particularly with critical stakeholders, to accommodate all shades of opinion in the pursuit of set goals,' they stated. Senator Nwoko had briefed the monarchs on his activities in the Senate in the last year and that he had already engaged with relevant stakeholders, including federal authorities and fellow lawmakers, to advance the state-creation process.
