Trade row adds to headaches for next Foxconn boss, says cbeddor:
Foxconn, formally known as Hon Hai Precision, said on May 14 that net profit for the first quarter came in at T$19.8 billion , down 17.7% from the year before.
Reuters reported on May 13, citing people with direct knowledge of the matter, that Foxconn is poised to nominate chip unit boss Liu Young to succeed Terry Gou as chairman. Gou said earlier he plans to resign to demonstrate his determination to run in Taiwan’s presidential election, according to the news agency.
