KUALA LUMPUR: An 11-year old daughter was punched by her father after an argument with his wife.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak, in a statement on Sunday , said that the victim was injured after the man flew into a fit of rage on June 26 at their house in Taman Cheras Indah."The husband got angry and punched the 11-year-old daughter in the face twice. He also slapped his three-year-old son on June 25, which led to swelling on the boy’s face.
"The complainant was also threatened by the suspect after she said she wanted to file a police report," he said."It is believed that the fight started after the complainant had asked about the passports, and of the owner of a pair of shoes that was found at the husband’s office, which then led to the outburst.
"A remand order has been obtained, from July 1 till 7. Both victims are still being held at the Ampang Hospital paediatric ward for further treatment and observation," he said.
