GEORGE TOWN: The Singaporean tourist who died after a van plunged into a ravine at Bukit Genting on Sunday (Sept 24) has been identified.

Penang tourism and creative economy committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said the deceased was Lee Kwee Yiam, 62.At a press conference earlier, Wong said the victim's remains were now at the Hospital Balik Pulau mortuary pending a post-mortem.

He said three of those injured in the crash had been sent to a private hospital while four were warded at the General Hospital.Singaporean tourist killed, 10 others hurt after van plunges into ravine in Penang Wong said he had contacted the Singaporean High Commission in Kuala Lumpur to see what kind of assistance the state government can give to the victims.
