The ASX 200 ended the day down on Monday by 0.79 per cent. According to Sky News business reporter Edward Boyd, it was “tough day” for market shares. “It tanked this morning, it was really after a weak performance from the US and European markets over the weekend,” he said.

Mr Boyd also attributed the markets poor performance as a direct result of the risk of the Middle East conflicting escalating beyond Gaza.“ASX 200 website; it was also down for a few hours during the afternoon but it is back up and running now.”
