Touch 'n Go eWallet has introduced Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) parking, which enables you to effortlessly enter and exit a parking lot.

Touch 'n Go eWallet has introduced support for Licence Plate Recognition parking, which enables you to effortlessly enter and exit a parking lot at selected locations. As the name implies, lots that offer LPR parking will automatically scan your plate number as you enter and the system calculates your parking fee and deducts it from your eWallet balance as you leave.

To use it, you will need to enable it by going into the TnG eWallet and tapping 'More' under the 'My Favourites' section and find the LPR parking feature. You will then need to enter your vehicle plate number to activate it. A total of 10 vehicle plate numbers can be linked to your account. There is no minimum balance to use the feature but keep in mind that if you do not have sufficient balance in your e-wallet when exiting, the gate will not open until you pay. In this case, you can either top-up your balance or pay by tapping a TnG card.

Currently, LPR parking is only supported by 12 locations across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Sarawak. However, the company states that it is working on expanding the list. If you get charged the wrong parking fee through the feature, you are encouraged to contact the TnG careline at +603-2714 8888.
