Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries provides resources and assistance to local families in crisis.helped 13,770 people in 2022. This year, the nonprofit plans to expand services and is gearing up its first in-person fundraiser since 2020.
Over the holiday season, the nonprofit kicked off Thanksgiving with its annual Sides in a Sack program, where churches and other organizations provide sides and different essentials for Thanksgiving dinners. TEAM fed 82 families and over 400 people on Thanksgiving. On Christmas, the charity provided dinners and toys to 145 families.In 2022, TEAM started growing its mentor ministry which helps clients with employment needs through education opportunities, financial counseling and coaching.
TEAM began offering workshops last year on topics such as finance, job search and resume building, and plans to add more services to the program in 2023. Daniels said the ministry assists over 300 clients a month. To qualify for the mentor ministry’s resources, individuals must be using TEAM’s food pantry.
