We chat with Tom Holland about TheCrowdedRoom, his new limited series from AppleTV, the challenges of stepping into his complicated character, and what he expects from SpiderMan4:
Apple TV+'s newest series is The Crowded Room, a mystery that follows Danny as he uncovers the mysteries of his past while trying to understand a crime he was a part of. Holland stars opposite Amanda Seyfried, Emmy Rossum, Sasha Lane, Jason Isaacs, and more. The series is Holland's first major project since the release of Uncharted in 2022 and marks another dramatic turn for the actor after roles in films like Cherry and The Devil All The Time.
Danny is a complicated character, especially watching those first few episodes as he's just trying to navigate his youth and figure out his life. What kind of work or research did you do to kind of find your way into this character? Each episode, you get more layers of Danny and, and who he is, and these twists and turns. You're no stranger to having to protect spoilers. Of course, you let things slip, but did this one feel more personal given the subject? Were you able to keep the cat in the bag?
