In the third episode of the latest season of Loki, Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson ride a tandem bike, but the blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of them in the background was a last-minute idea.
While the internet had a lot of regrets that there isn't a longer sequence of the two riding tandem, Kasrah Farahani, who directed the episode, said he wanted to keep it purposely low-key.
In the episode, Loki, played by Hiddleston, and Mobius, played by Owen, work together pursuing Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes through a sequence set in 1893 during the World's Fair. "We knew the audience would be anticipating that there would be a Kang variant … but we knew they didn't know the nature of this character … So we wanted to keep that milk that suspense and tension."
Farahani said his father was a furniture designer, which led him to become aware of design for film as a career. Loki also stars Ke Huy Quan, Sophie Di Martino, Eugene Cordero, and Rafael Casal.
