The Pakatan Harapan government has no clear direction in its policies since it won the general election, resulting in the rakyat having to endure a high cost of living and the economy being in the doldrums, says Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan .
“I am dismayed by Pakatan’s performance. They made loads of promises, including wanting to be a better government than Barisan Nasional.Mohamad, who is carrying out the duties of Umno president, said Pakatan’s indecisiveness has also caused businesses to suffer. He cited an example of the poor performance of Bursa Malaysia, which was Asia’s only stock market in the red this year.
On April 29, Bursa Malaysia reported its net profit fell 26.5% to RM46.85mil in the first quarter ending March 31, from RM63.78mil in the same period a year ago. This it said was mainly due to lower operating revenue and consistent with the prevailing domestic and global developments, which included concerns of slower economic growth, weaker corporate earnings and palm oil prices.
