A new breakfast-brunch-lunch restaurant has been announced for the Old Shell Road location that was long home to midtown Mobile landmark Fuego.. Owners said the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic conditions afterward had driven the decision.
Realtor William Peebles with CRE Mobile posted Wednesday on Facebook that the 4,600-square-foot corner space would be occupied by a Toasted Yolk restaurant. The Toasted Yolk is a chain with about 45 established or “coming soon” locations spread from north Texas across the South to Florida and South Carolina, with a couple as far north as Kentucky and Ohio.
