A county fire marshal later recovered the body of the cornerback’s father Robert M. Farley from the debris.

Iredell County Emergency Management said in a Tuesday news release that emergency officials responded to the home after a reported explosion and collapse and that one person was injured and another person was found dead in the debris.
Robert M. Farley, 61, was found dead in the debris of the Lake Norman, North Carolina, house Tuesday morning, Kent Greene, director of Iredell County Fire Services and Emergency Management,According to the report, first responders arrived at the house a few minutes after midnight Tuesday and found Christian Rogers, 25, exiting the collapsed structure. Rogers, a friend of the family, was transported to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte with a concussion.
Greene, per The Associated Press, said gas must have accumulated over a long period of time and likely found its way to an ignition source. The blast has been ruled accidental. It originated in a bedroom. Titans coach Mike Vrabel called the situation “shocking” and said that the team will do everything possible to support Farley. His teammates confirmed that Farley traveled home to North Carolina on Tuesday morning.. “We were probably the last ones in the locker room last night just hanging around. We just found out the news.
