The Nation Newspaper Tinubu, Jonathan for biotechnology conference
are to attend the maiden International Biotechnology conference organised by National Biotechnology and Research Development Agency .
The conference, from Monday in Abuja, will gather scientists, researchers, policymakers, industry experts, and entrepreneurs to discuss and explore potential of biotechnology in driving growth. Director General of the agency, Prof Abdullahi Mustapha, during a briefing in Abuja yesterday, said the conference would revolutionise Nigeria’s economic sector and Africa’s.
Mustapha said the conference: “Biotechnology as Engine for Economic Growth,” will explore pivotal sectors: agriculture, health, environment, molecular biology, industry, ethics, Intellectual Property Rights and genetic engineering.By showcasing research and innovation, he said the seminar can attract investment and foster biotech-related businesses.
‘‘This can attract foreign investment, partnerships, and collaborations, further boosting impact of biotechnology advancements…’’
