| The G20 faces its most critical test since the global financial crisis and needs again to work in concert to fight the inflation scourge gripping the globe, Anthony Albanese says.
“Founded on the unifying principle of multilateralism: that we can achieve far more together than we ever will alone,” he will say.The B20 is allied to the G20 summit in Bali this week. Mr Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were invited to speak by Indonesia President Joko Widodo. Mr Albanese outlined a different set of policy solutions this time, to be pursued with the same resolve as 2009.
“We do this by ensuring that our tax systems reward people for their hard work and repay the initiative and enterprise of our businesses and job-creators,” he says.He says many of the threads can be drawn together by governments and businesses lifting investment in climate change. While Mr Albanese was in Cambodia for the weekend at the East Asia/ASEAN summit, Resources Minister Madeleine King was in Japan assuaging concerns.
