PBA fans who are accustomed to seeing Tim Cone wearing long sleeves and tie during game day found it strange to catch the Barangay Ginebra mentor sporting a black polo shirt in the PBA Commissioner's Cup playoffs.On Wednesday night, Cone, along with his battery of assistants, reported for duty in all black during the Gin Kings' 118-102 dumping of the NorthPort Batang Pier to grab an early 1-0 series lead in their best-of-three quarter final setto at the Philsports Arena.
And while he's done that for over three decades already, the amiable American coach is willing to adjust this time.'I know it's always been my thing. It's never been my coaching staff's thing. Coaches always hate it. But it's always my thing and they had to do it because of me. But now, I'm adjusting to them. I'm doing this so they can be a little bit more comfortable,' explained the 64-year-old Ginebra coach. 'For now, no more ties.
