SHAH ALAM: A content creator has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to a charge of making a false statement about Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The 46-year-old, who is popularly known as Cikgu Chandra, was charged under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act, which is punishable under Section 233 of the same Act, for misuse of network facilities.If found guilty, Chandrasegaran can be fined not more than RM50,000, or jailed up to one year and fined an additional RM1,000 for each day the offence continues after conviction.
