The first interview with an Alabama man convicted in the 2017 shooting death of his wife will air this weekend on CBS’s “48 Hours.”
Tiffiney Crawford, 32, was found dead in the driver’s seat of her van on May 2, 2017, at the couple’s Cullman home in what was initially thought to be a suicide, even though she had been shot twice in the head.
ALEA was brought in to investigate Tiffiney Crawford’s death because Jason Crawford’s mother works for the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office. The body cam footage shows Jason Crawford tell deputies, “We were arguing. The last thing I remember I was going in the house, and I heard a shot, a scream and then another shot.”When deputies arrived at the home that night, Tiffiney Crawford was unresponsive in the driver’s seat of her van. A gun was in her left hand, even though she was right-handed.
“The Mysterious Death of Tiffiney Crawford” will broadcast Saturday, March 25, at 9 p.m. Central Time and streaming on Paramount+.
