The flood waters began rising on Tuesday, causing six workers to be trapped inside the plantation. Three managed to escape by attaching themselves to tree trunks and swimming across a river, walking over six kilometers to seek help.
The other three were rescued through a joint operation by local residents, police, and the Malaysian Civil Defense Force, an operation that took over two days to complete
