A fatal accident occurred early this morning (September 30) on the East Coast Highway (LPT), claiming the lives of three adult males. The incident, which involved seven vehicles – four cars, a three-ton lorry, and two trailers – took place at Kilometer 42 LPT. One of the trailers involved burned completely. While the highway has been cleared and fully reopened, traffic from Genting Sempah to Bukit Tinggi remains slow as of 9 am.

Kemalangan Babitkan Kedua-Dua Arah LPT Menurut Pegawai Perhubungan Awam Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Pahang Zulfadli Zakaria, panggilan kecemasan diterima pada jam 4.13 pagi. Mereka tiba di lokasi dalam masa empat minit kemudian. Tambahnya, agensi yang terlibat dalam operasi menyelamat berkenaan ialah Polis Diraja Malaysia , Kementerian Kesihatan , Angkatan Pertahanan Awam dan Pasukan Bomba Sukarela Janda Baik.
Pihak terlibat berjaya mengawal kebakaran sekitar jam 5.42 pagi dengan operasi menyelamat ditamatkan sepenuhnya pada 5.50 pagi, lapor Awani.
