Four people were killed in a shooting and house fire in Oak Forest, Illinois, according to police.
A gunman shot and killed three people outside a home Friday morning, then barricaded himself inside the home, Oak Forest police told CBS 2. Shortly after, a fire engulfed the house. The gunman was found dead inside the house by police after the fire was doused. The identities of the gunman and victims are still being determined, as is the cause of death of the gunman. A child was able to escape the house.
"The Oak Forest Police have a barricaded subject in the 5500 block of Ann Marie Ln. [W]e ask resident[s] that live in the area to shelter in place at this time," police tweeted at 8:04 a.m.
