OAKLAND — Three people were hospitalized Wednesday evening in a shooting in a West Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.
In an e-mailed statement, a police spokesperson said dispatchers took a call saying a person had been shot near 27th and Market streets. When officers responded to the area and arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Other first responders also responded to the area, providing care before taking the victims to a hospital for treatment.
Police did not disclose the victims’ conditions, or any preliminary information about a suspect or associated vehicle. For information leading to the arrest of a suspect, police are offering up to $15,000 in the shooting.
