A cafe in Melbourne’s south-east has been rattled by threats after advertising a drag queen event for children.
A Melbourne cafe owner has cancelled a children’s craft and games event hosted by drag queens after being bombarded with what she described as bigoted messages, and before the discovery of threatening comments in an online forum. That person claimed they had a contact at VicRoads who charges $500 to provide addresses linked to registration numbers.is unable to verify the legitimacy of the poster’s claims about having a contact at VicRoads. In response to questions froma VicRoads spokesperson defended its security precautions and said the matter would be investigated by the Department of Transport and Planning integrity unit.
