Zombie stormtroopers could show up in Ahsoka.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Marrok’s disappointing reveal in Ahsoka episode 4 may have given away a crucial piece of Thrawn’s plan to resurrect the Empire. Despite all the speculation and theories as to who Marrok was, he turned out to be nothing more than a puppet made from Nightsister magick. Nevertheless, Marrok’s mere existence speaks to Morgan Elsbeth’s true power as a Nightsister.
Marrok's True Identity Explained The full details of how Marrok functioned as a puppet have yet to be explained. Judging by the magical green ichor that escaped from him upon his death, it’s likely he was a resurrected body. The Chant of Resurrection is a powerful Nightsister spell first seen in The Clone Wars season 4, and later used by Merrin in Jedi: Fallen Order. It allows the user to reanimate a dead corpse as if it were once alive.
One might wonder why Morgan needs Thrawn if she can just resurrect her own personal army on a whim. If Morgan tried to create an army now, the New Republic would instantly realize the threat and send a force to deal with her. She's purposefully kept her ally number low in order to avoid detection, hence why the New Republic chose not to send a force to stop them from reaching Thrawn.
