Thousands gather for Pope’s mass in Hungary FMTNews FMTWorld
BUDAPEST: Tens of thousands thronged a central Budapest square today for Pope Francis’ open-air mass on his third and final day in Hungary in a visit dominated by the war in neighbouring Ukraine.
Francis will deliver his trip’s last speech at 4pm at a private Catholic university in Budapest to academics and those working in culture. Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government – in a departure from its usual anti-refugee position – has welcomed those fleeing the war in Ukraine.
