More than 10,000 seats remain at Snapdragon Stadium for San Diego State's Mountain West opener against the Broncos at 32,500-seat Snapdragon Stadium
Tickets are selling like cold cakes for the San Diego State football team’s Mountain West opener Friday night against Boise State.
Ticketmaster.com had more than 12,000 seats listed on Monday before 2,000 seats in the upper east sections 205-209 were reallocated for additional student seating. There are 6,000 seats reserved for students at the stadium’s north end. The additional overflow seats were given out to accommodate additional student ticket demand, similar to what was done two weeks ago for SDSU’s game against UCLA.
Adding to the challenge of selling additional tickets this week for Boise State is the fact that there are hundreds of tickets available on the resale market at a fraction of face value. The Aztecs announced a crowd of 32,107 for the UCLA game, with turnstile attendance of 25,549. That’s the second-biggest crowd for a football game at Snapdragon, behind only the 26,816 who attended the inaugural game last year against Arizona.
